MIKE RECCHIO

Mike is a certified personal trainer and nutrition advisor who has been training members of ABC since 1995. He received a bachelor's degree in exercise psychology from SUNY. He received his fitness credentials from the International Sports Science Association and APEX Fitness. He is currently CPR and AED certified.

He is also certified in fitness therapy and is a certified strength and conditioning coach. Mike played semi-pro football for 11 years and ran track for 4 years. Notable former clients include Dion Lewis from the Philadelphia Eagles, Derek Brown of the New York Giants and Paul Vellano of Maryland University.

TONI HOWARD

To know me is to know that I care deeply about my clients, my group fitness participants, my fellow instructors and colleagues. I am as passionate today as the day I taught my very first class. Fitness is something that can be customized to you at whatever level you are, at what ever age you are and with whatever modification you need. I am here to help guide you, motivate you and to get you excited as you make your journey forward to a healthier and happier you! I have been at ABC for 29 years, and hold several certifications ranging from Spinning, Body Pump, Group Fitness Training and Personal Training. Joe Cox has been working in the industry for 27 years as a certified personal trainer and nutritional consultant. He has a degree in Science and Humanities as well as continuing education in Human Nutrition and Athletic Training. He works with men and women of all ages and experienance. Leni St Martin is a NASM certified personal trainer who has been training clients for over 20 years. She has an associates degree in Physical Education and Nutrition from Hudson Valley Community College, a bachelors from UAlbany in exercise philology and a Masters Degree from UMass in Kinesiology. JOSH CHAPPELL

Josh Chappell has a degree in Kinesiology from SUNY Cortland. He holds an active certification with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He has years of experience working with Functional Movement Systems, qualifying him as a Functional Movement Specialist(FMS).

In addition to, he is a Sports Performance Coach through Bommarito Performance Systems (BPS Level 1) certification, where he worked hand on alongside D1 and professional  sports coaches. He is also ACLS, CPR and AED certified.

Josh is passionate about helping people move properly by correcting imbalances that strengthen functionality of everyday movements, through exercise. His systems teach people to move pain free, allowing them to progress properly to achieve a variety of health and fitness goals - ranging from everyday activities to competitive athletics and powerlifting.

KELLI CARR

Kellianne Carr is certified personal trainer and group exercise trainer through NCSF: National Council on Strength and Fitness. Expanding her knowledge, she pursued to get her Associates degree in Exercise Science at HVCC. Kellianne worked for HVCC athletics department, completing a year long internship as an Athletic Trainer- working hands on understanding athletic injuries, fundamentals, and rehabilitations. ANTHONY SNYDER

Truly a product of ABC Sports and Fitness, Anthony Snyder has been inside the building as a child, as he was part of the child care center. BEN BRICKMAN

My name is Ben Brickman. I am an NSCA certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In addition to that certification, I am also certified in the Functional Movement Systems and Y-Balance Test. My love for fitness began when I was a kid. I did primarily bodyweight exercises until my junior year of high school when I started weight-lifting. Following my high-school graduation in 2009, I left for Marine Corps bootcamp in Paris Island South Carolina. I continued weight-lifting in addition to the physical training prescribed by my leadership throughout my Marine Corps career.

I was honorably discharged in the summer of 2013 and began school in the spring of 2014. I enrolled at Hudson Valley Community College in the Business Administration program. I found out that they had a football team, so I walked on that spring. I played wide-receiver there until 2016 when I transferred to Syracuse University for exercise science. After trying out for their football team, I earned a spot in the spring of 2017. I graduated in May of 2019 with my bachelor’s in science in Exercise Science.

I have been a personal trainer since the end of 2015 when I was fortunate enough to be introduced to the Functional Movement System (FMS). I say that I was fortunate because my FMS certification taught me a lot about how the body is supposed to move and the importance of quality of movement before quantity.

Prior to my FMS certification, I was all about bench, squat, and deadlift. Everything else was an inconvenience. Through the knowledge gained in the FMS program, and the pain I went through as a result of my ignorance, I learned ways to improve my big lifts while also reducing my risk for injury. This knowledge was vital in maintaining and improving a body that could perform well not only in the gym, but also on the football field.

Now I use my knowledge and experience to help other people reach their potential. Training with me is not easy. I’m not a check-in-the-box clipboard trainer. If you train with me, be prepared to work hard. I don’t care where you’re at in your fitness journey, as long as you give me 100%. That being said, I hope I get the opportunity to work with you.

JARED DeGROFF

ABC would like to welcome new independent personal trainer Jared DeGroff! Fitness has always been a huge part of Jared’s life. He dealt with weight issues when he was young, which gave him the drive to learn everything he could. Learning by himself was always a struggle and at times felt like he was going nowhere. That’s why he decided to become a trainer.

Maria Kent is a Certified Personal Trainer through National Academy of Sports Medicine and has a background in Strength and Conditioning training. GABRIELLE HOGAN

Gabrielle Hogan is a NASM certified personal trainer as well as having a bachelors degree in exercise science from SUNY Plattsburgh. From internships working with division one athletes to interning in Manhattan at a boutique aerial yoga studio she has built up expertise in many forms of exercise.
